Decadence 2013 – A Celebration of Icewine and Chocolate

The Canadian Food and Wine Institute at Niagara College is opening its doors on Saturday February 16th for an unparalleled celebration in chocolate and Icewine: Decadence! In its third year, Decadence features a National Student Pastry Competition, free family activities and events, free seminars with Food Network chefs including Anna Olson and Carl Heinrich, and so much more! With a full day of free family fun and the opportunity to watch a local “kitchen stadium” in action, you can be certain that this is an event not to be missed!

Chocolate Kids Camps

Decadence is all about chocolate and what better group to entice with the food of the gods than your kids! Kids love making food in the kitchen… especially when that food is inspired and infused with chocolate!

Enroll your kids in this one hour class designed for children where they will have fun and learn all about chocolate from the expert Chef Professors at the Canadian Food and Wine Institute. Chefs Avi Hollo and Phillipe Corbierre will get everyone excited about cooking with chocolate and not to worry, they are experts! This is a safe and fun activity in a controlled kitchen environment… safety is our first concern.

Each student will receive a Decadence Apron and Official Decadence Chef Hat as a great souvenir of their fun adventure!

Please inquire as soon as you arrive, space is extremely limited!

Where: Culinary Labs HT 104 and HT 105
When: Classes are at 10:30am, 12:00pm and 2:00pm (each is 1 hour long)
Age Groups: 7-9 and 10-13
Cost: $10 per child

Decadence Bake Shops

Throughout Decadence you will be able to indulge in delicious bake goods prepared by the team at the Canadian Food and Wine Institute. All baked goods will be 1, 2 or 3 tickets.
